| Drill file |
In Excellon format. This file should contain finished tool sizes, and X & Y coordinates. |
| |
Some software also produces a tool list. Send this if you have it. It may be needed. |
| Gerber files for: |
File format-Gerber 274X (embedded apertures), or 274D with aperature list |
| Layer 1 |
Top copper ( veiwed from top looking down through to the bottom, pads .017" larger than holes. |
| Layer 2 -7 |
The inner layer (signal layers) should
have pads .018" larger than finished hole size. |
| |
For ground and power layers the clearances around through holes should be .025"min. larger than finished tool size. |
| |
To avoid copper being exposed at the boards routed edge, the copper needs to be .025" away from board outline. |
| Layer 8 |
Bottom copper, copper features within .010" of board outline on top or bottom may be cut by router. |
| Top Soldermask |
Mask relief .008" larger than pad sizes. |
| Bottom Soldermask |
Soldermask areas with less than .005" remaining may have to be removed for processing. |
| Top Silkscreen |
A .007" line is the smallest that can print through the silkscreen. |
| Bottom Silkscreen |
Correct reading from the bottom side. |
| Board outline |
This can be a separate layer, or added to any of the above layers. |
| Drawing layer |
This may be needed if your software outputs the board outline, or layer stack up in it. |
| |
The drawing notes when in conflict
with your order form, or our stated tolerances will not
be referenced. |
